Jochen’s St. Anton am Arlberg
I believe spontaneity makes life vibrant and exciting. So, I’ll share with you what I love most about St. Anton am Arlberg. But some experiences can’t be planned – they just happen. And these are the ones that are the most fun. Dive into the adventure that is St. Anton am Arlberg. You’ll love it.
The classic Negroni! It’s my absolute master of balance: bitter (Campari), sweet (red vermouth), strong, and aromatic (gin). The three components are simple, harmonious, and perfect – each sip is complex yet balanced. For many connoisseurs, that’s the appeal: a drink that’s never boring, yet still enjoyable and, of course, delivers its effect.
I love not just visiting places, but discovering their little secrets – the corners only locals know, hidden hiking trails, rustic huts, or cool spots away from the hustle and bustle.
And yes, I’ll share a few insider tips … the first one you’ve already discovered: hereat Schindler! Treat yourself to dinner in my parlour in winter or on the terrace in summer, and let yourself be surprised. Afterward, I’ll share more personal tips for St. Anton – I promise, you won’t want to miss them!
St. Anton am Arlberg – incredible in both summer and winter! 🌞❄️
In summer, I put on my hiking boots or explore the mountains on my e-bike. Into the Verwall valley, up to the Konstanzer hut, back down and on to the Malfontal valley to the Tritsch Alpine pasture, where there’s always great cheese, the Alpenrosen trail – pure nature, breathers among the rocks, Alpine snacks. In the evening? A stroll through the village and a stop at a friend’s house or at one of the many bars. An Aperol to set the mood. In winter? Slopes, powder, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing – the main thing is being outside and having fun. Afterward, a boozy hot chocolate in a hut, and the day is perfect.
In short: St. Anton rocks all year round – adventure, nature, and relaxation in one. If you’ve been here before, you know exactly what I mean!
St. Anton am Arlberg – a winter as it should be! Here, it doesn’t just snow; the powder falls from the sky – perfect slopes for those who want to ski or simply conquer the mountains. From the challenging Valluga descent to the laid-back slopes at Mt Rendl, there’s something for everyone. And if you’ve had enough of the slopes: evening tobogganing, a ski show at the St. Anton finish stadium, snowshoe hikes, or simply stomping through the glittering snow – pure winter bliss! Après-ski in St. Anton? Honestly: legendary! For those who love to party, don’t miss Mooserwirt, ArlONE, or Krazy Kanguruh. I know what I’m talking about – I used to work at Mooserwirt myself. For a cosier vibe, hang out at the Sennhütte hut – music, atmosphere, and hot drinks included. Tip: be clever with the timing of your last descent, or the way home might get tricky. In short: St. Anton is not just a winter paradise, but a place that perfectly combines snow, fun, and après-ski. Because the mountains in winter simply rock!
When the sun disappears behind the mountains, St. Anton starts to shine. Après-ski here is a lifestyle – classics like Mooserwirt or Krazy Kanguruh get you into the party mood by the afternoon: DJ, dance floor, ski boots, and plenty of good vibes. If you prefer a more laid-back vibe, start with an aperitif at Q-Dinner Club, Murrmel Bar, Anthony’s Happy Valley, or Bobos Bar – first a cosy drink, then live music, and slowly dive into the nightlife. My tip for the perfect night: bar-hopping! Swap ski boots for party shoes, (very important) dance a bit, laugh, meet people, and drink water in between – otherwise, the next day on the slopes will be a very different kind of adventure. Whether it’s the classics or hidden gems: in St. Anton, every evening is an experience you won’t soon forget. Fun and laughter are guaranteed!
A little note when it comes to partying:
We want to make our guests aware that we place great importance on the necessary quiet and respect towards us, other guests, staff, and the building. Therefore, we ask everyone to keep in mind, even before booking, that appropriate behaviour is expected after the happiest après-ski or nightclub visit. Thanks for reading and we look forward to a pleasant and enjoyable time together.
It’s quite simple: here, snow meets sunshine, and action meets indulgence.
St. Anton am Arlberg is a lifestyle for me. Whether it’s snow in winter, hiking in summer, or simply enjoying the mountains – here, I feel free and alive. On top of that: St. Anton is the perfect starting point for motorcycle tours through the Alps, the location couldn’t be better, and the international rail connections make it super easy to travel here from almost anywhere in Europe. St. Anton blends adventure, nature, lifestyle, and joie de vivre. This place has captured my heart, and at the same time, I feel like I’ve finally found my home.
